This holiday apartment is comprised of one bedroom, a living room, lounge, bathroom and balcony. Its modern design and decoration and location make it perfect for couples, friends & families to share.
A cot is available upon request for an extra supplement.
The area around the house is well served by public transport. There is a bus service (called BusCas); this runs regularly throughout the day, to the centre of Cascais and around the Cascais area with it's main stop at the Cascais train station. From here you can get a train to Lisbon in 30 minutes along the beautiful coast line, or a bus to the World Heritage Site of Sintra. If you wish to visit places further afield, please ask us about our day excursions.
There is another bus service which stops just across the road from the house called Giro which will take you to Cascaishopping where there are shops, a food court, hairdressers, technical help center etc.
From Cascais there is a regular bus service to Guincho Beach, #405. The #403 will get you to Sintra.
The train service runs from 5am until 1:30am and the trains run every 20minutes approx.
You will find a typical supermarket and bakery with coffee shop across the road (VIP Supermarket which contains many international brands and O Sacolinha a small bakery/coffee shop), which assures you your hot rustic bread each morning.
Try a typical Portuguese breakfast, ask for “um galão com pão torrado” (tall milky coffee served in a glass with toasted Portuguese bread)
For a much more Portuguese feeling, within a short walk is Casa da Guia with all of its speciality shops, boutiques, restaurants & cafés offering afternoon refreshments overlooking the sea with wonderful views up to the Cascais marina.
Otherwise try the out of town centre, Cascais Shopping (a mall on the outskirts of Cascais Estoril) with a great variety of shops from clothing, shoes, sports, books, electronics, luggage, travel etc). The #406 goes from Cascais to Cascais Shopping. It stops in Estoril by the beach before returning to Cascais terminus.
Get the train from Cascais station to Lisbon. Only a 30-40 minute journey along the coastline with spectacular sea views along the way.
Visit the bakery across the road for some delicious Portuguese Cakes!
We had a wonderful stay at the property. It had everything we needed. Cassie was lovely and extremely helpful and explained everything thoroughly. We are definitely going to book again for next year. Thank you so much. (Airbnb)
The property is situated on the 1st floor of an apartment block, situated at the western end of Cascais in a quiet residential area. Block appears well maintained, with full-time resident caretakers, and gates to the grounds were locked after 2000 each evening (good safety aspect). Lovely pool, hardly used - but beware not heated and a little shock to the system when jumping in!! regarding apartment itself, clean and tidy, reasonably well appointed, and more than big enough certainly for 2 and probably for 4 (dependant upon age of additional 2). The kitchen is very well stocked and would easily allow full self-catering/laundry etc. The bathroom is fine with an above-bath shower, though a high step to get into the bath, and perhaps "power" of that could be improved a little. Air-Con in the bedroom and front-room worked well and needed even in late Sept / early Oct. Nice-sized west-facing balcony (can see the sea) which caught the afternoon sun. Locally there is a small supermarket (incl fresh fruit and fish/meat counters), and a lovely bakery, and these were more than sufficient if self-catering is to be simple; apparently, there is a LIDL nearby, though we never saw that (but didn't search for). Also there are some 4/5 restaurants within 5 mins walking distance (@ Casa Guia) and these are well worth a visit, we tried most of them, varied style etc, but all providing good food the apartment is 5 mins from the sea-shore promenade, but there is no beach between this point until into Cascais town; the promenade walk to town (past Boca do Inferno, and the marina) is very pleasant and approx. 30 mins stroll. If u prefer not to walk, then the local BusCas service (from outside the pizza place) runs a circular route, takes 10 mins to town, costs only Euro1, and is punctual. On that note we spent the week using local trains and buses, make sure you ask about 7-day season tickets, and /or bulk-purchase - we found them to be very good value for trips to Lisbon and to Sintra (a wonderful place, need 2-3 days to explore properly) Booking experience all relatively simple, any questions promptly answered, merely waiting return of my breakage-deposit, which I am told will only take a few days from provision of put details overall we enjoyed our week, very happy with our accommodation, and would certainly recommend to those who prefer peace-&-quiet to town-centre bustle.
We had a very nice welcoming. Our host Cassie explained everything in detail. The place was very nice and clean with an ocean view. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, a supermarket and a bakery at the other side of the street. The place even has a pool - one for kids and one for adults. The guard at the entrance is very helpful, e.g. when you need a taxi.
“My husband and I had the perfect week-long stay at this beautiful apartment. The view of the sea, fully equipt kitchen, comfortable bed, and spacious rooms overall made us feel just like we were at home! We highly recommend this apartment to any couples or small families traveling to Cascais! ” (Airbnb)
Fantastic and relaxing stay at Ocean eight. The place is spacious and spotlessly clean. It's in a great spot with shops and restaurants nearby. The pool and grounds are extremely well kept and Cassie our host was very helpful and warm. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to others.
Our stay in your apartment was wonderful.
The apartment was big enough for us. The kitchen was like home. We had everything we need. The balcony was large. We had a good explanation from Cassie. (...) The swimming pool was large and nearly private! Maybe a few more umbrellas more around the swimming pool.
We visit never two times the same place but this time we’ll be back one day.
Great apartment in a very pleasant neighbourhood. I was very well welcomed and shown around the place, and everything worked perfectly for the duration of my stay.
Very good experience and everything was very good, from the time we were received in the apartment. Location was very good and close to main attractions. (Airbnb)
The apartment was very comfortable, clean and were delighted with the full kitchen as we like to cook dinner sometimes. The peace and quiet was wonderful as we have a very hectic business life. Also, on your advice, we did eat at some splendid restaurants. The pool area was fantastic, with very few people at any given time. All in all, wee had a wonderful stay and would recommend this apartment and area.
Myself and my daughter are just back from a 10 day holiday in the Ocean Eight complex in Cascais. The apartment was wonderful, very bright, spacious and clean. the kitchen and lounge area had a lovely open plan feeling. Substantial size balcony. The complex is also exceptionally safe, there is a 24hr porter on site. The pool area is great for catching the sunshine and cooling off. Loads of sunbeds, on some days we had the pool to ourselves. The apartment is within a 20 minute walk from the town or there are a number of buses that go directly into the town, which is very beautiful. We found the lovely Casa da Guia across the road from the apartment, its is an old period house in a beautiful park perched on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, there are a number of fantastic restaurants and shops here, it was a great alternative to eat there at night instead of going to the town. Overall I can not recommend the apartment and location enough.
Thanks Portugal Portfolio for the easy hand over and superb service.

An excellent one bedroom apartment with all the amenities you need including comfy beds, dishwasher and washing machine. The apartment was in very good order and very clean.
Our son particularly enjoyed the swimming pool which is large and often we had it to ourselves.
The balcony has great views overlooking the sea and gardens, We really miss eating breakfast out on the balcony with the great views.
The location is a little outside the main town but is a pleasant walk along the cliffs. If you don't want to walk the local bus service is just round the corner and runs very frequently. Across the road from the entrance is a small supermarket and an excellent bakery.
The area has lots to see and do from days in Lisbon via the train to visits to the Sintra area, as well as lazy days on the beach in Cascais.
We hope to return in the future and would recommend Oceans Eight for a great holiday apartment in Cascais.

We really enjoyed our vacation in Ocean 7 apartments Cascais. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped with all mod-cons. It was bright and spacious and had a good ocean view from the balcony. The location was just outside the village (20min walk) but the walk, along the promenade, into the village was beautiful. We will definitely be back.
